Has anybody ever deep fried a duck? I'm planning on do this on Thanksgiving while I have the oil hot from doing a turkey. Any suggestions?

I've never fried one whole but check out the Pecan dusted goose/duck recipe. It's pretty awesome!!!

take breasts and cut them into strips (about 1/2") thick, dip in egg and milk (optional) then roll in flour. in the flour mix salt, pepper, and garlic powder, fry til you think they are done, i leave mine just a tad pink in middle. they are o.k. hot but they are 100 times better if you throw them in fridge and eat them the next day. it's like eating popcorn, you just can't stop. I think the garlic gets into them better if they sit overnight. :D

That's real similar to mine except we cut the breast a little thinner and mix ground pecans with the flour. The pepper jelly is what makes it all come together... I'll bump it up for ya...

yummm....there are sooooo many different ways to do it. This thanksgiving, we just took 2 geese and 2 ducks and didn't do a damn thing to them, and wa la, they're done in about 5 min. Yummm.....
