neck banded cackler pics

I'm having way to much fun putting off homework and playing with my new digital camera. These are actually pictures of pictures so the quality isn't quite as good.

The neck band read "K" (vertical) "LO" (horizontal). "J-LO" would have been a mounter for sure!!! hehe

I almost forgot. The pictures are of my good friend Nolan with a neck banded cackling canada goose he shot a couple weeks ago. The band was originally yellow but has faded to a light cream color. I almost had one too but wasn't fast enough on the draw.:CL:

Great pice de-bander. Growing up in the NW permit area I have tried for years to get a collared cackler. I've had plenty of opps for red one's but don't want to end my season, or a Dusky's life for a piece of plastic and aluminum. Good luck getting the gun up a little quicker next time and keep those great pics coming. It sure is nice hunting down here where a goose is a goose.

I agree with HEST! I've never seen a juvenile mallard with that color pattern!

That just doesn't compare to some of those 14 and 15 pounders we've killed this year. Can't say I've actually killed a banded bird yet so I really don't have any room to talk. That one bird weighs a million times more than the banded one I've killed!!!
