Heres a close up of the handle I made. I used pvc for the handle. 3/4" for the magnum shells and 1/2" for the standard shells. I tied a doggie leash clasp to one end to fasten the loop.

Matt,
I started carrying them the same way this year. I got tired of fighting with the bags, especially since I hunt public ground a lot - which means packing in/out all the time. Another, idea I read on here involved hauling them on poles. I might try that next year, if the poles will handle the weight, since I usually take some poles for flyers anyway. Looks good, you are further along with clean up and storage than I am.
