01-26-2003, 11:40 AM
Duckboat glad to hear you had a good weekend:wak: Yea the snows are acting weird and definately aren't afraid of a canada goose spread. Heard a few reports of people shooting the snows with just canada's lately. Have you called in the band? Keep us informed of the banding info. Later

One more question John I forgot. You said you were hunting with 5 doz. foots. Didn't you order some hardcores or did you cancel your order. Just curious finally got the rest of mine last thurs.

yea i got some hardcore on the way .i guess they will be here next year maybe .
jossie i have had such a slow season until this weekend i was affraid to post up:Rich:i would of liked to have had a hunt but i didn't want to get everybody down here to have a bust i'll do that during turkey season
yea xtrteme we put about 1000 plus snows on the ground about 50 ft. away they didn't even circle they just did it never seen any thing like it before:ST: :Art:
by the way what # do i call for band info
01-26-2003, 11:15 PM
John the # is 1-800-327 band. If that is the # you are wanting. That is the # you call to report. Did your band have the 1-800-327- band # on the band. If not then you got an old bird because the newer bands have the # on the band. There is a web site by the USF&W service and I think you can go to and get the info right away but you still have to call in to get your certificate. Later

01-27-2003, 02:05 PM
we picked up our birds that gave us our limit and the guy who put us on the birds walked by and said that one has a band i didn't even check just thought he was joking and threw him in the pile and when were taking pictures i saw the band so finders keepers right:Art: :Art: :Rich:

In my family we would have drawn/flipped for it.....unless the others already had bands from previous hunts. It wouldn't have made it to the pile though. We always check for iron.
