IF we can get more guys hitting this area it will be great, the only thing better then hunting with the dog; is talking about hunting with the dog!
Good to be aboard. Also, I dont know about you guys, but when it is blowing out, and 5 degrees, that bagel tastes pretty good!!

Welcome to Flocknocker DogDoc,
Could you explain a litle about the retinal condition in labs. The breeder you purchase from has the eyes and hips certified, can you give me some info on this before I buy my pup. Thank you.

Without knowing the particulars of your case it is hard to say, however I would imagine that they were looking for "retinal dysplagia". In short form, this is a disease that may be caused by trauma, virus (herpes) but is generally a gentic defect that is autosomal recessive (That part is not important) but it can be general, or focal. The disease can be asymptomatic, or cause central vision problems. In the generalized form, blindness can be associated. Books are written on this, but that is a brief glance at what may have been what they were looking for. Ths important part is that your pup passed!!
If this is not the disease that they were looking for, write me back with specifics, and i will try my best.
