Not bad for your first one Nick, mine was worse. Now I'm no pro on this but your too red, & way too thick with the paint, I think you have a heavy trigger finger. Hold on to that one after you do a couple doz. you'll see how far you've come. I put the flattening agent in the paint & that will cut your sheen. Flipper or Dave can help you out more than I can.

Amazing resemblance to the first few I did ... I decided way to much paint ... scale back on the "coloring" and just try to shade the thing, amazing how little paint is needed.

I'm by far not an expert at this, but I would have to second the vote on too much reddish brown. I did some Flambeau's for last season, and I think they turned out pretty good, I'll try and get a couple pics of them and post them up.
