How many of you have done this?? My vet recommeded that I have my dog micro chipped if I was going to be a hunting her. I understand the concept behind it..... I haven't made up my mind yet...any info greatly appreciated..AL-IA

All my dogs are microchipped. It is the only true way to identify a dog as yours if it is stolen or lost. All pounds are required to check for a microchip before putting a dog down, so it might just save your dog.
Also, the OFA is now requiring some form of identification on your dog, either DNA test or a chip, before you can certify their hips.
I wouldn't own a dog without it.

My "GooseMan" is chipped. Ive had him scanned at acouple of differant vets and sure enough the # come up right every time. Its a neat thing.

Both my dogs are chipped!! Also more and more animals shelters are being required to purchase the scanner and scan all incoming dogs. May save your dogs life!!!

I have both my dogs chipped, and from reading the regulations in the town I bought my home requires it to be done. It is a great way to get your dog back if you loose them.
