I got my catalog from dixie art today and I've got a question for you. What compressor would go along w/the CS brush? In searching your posts I see you recommend 40 psi to start, would the Iwata Smart Jet compressor (20 - 30 psi) work? Thanks for answering and thanks for all your info and pics on painting dekes!

IMHO, the lower pressure is ok for very thin inks. But when it comes to paint the higher air pressure will force a little thicker pigment through the airbrush. When I am painting if it starts to sputter or clog I spray it wide open for a second to do a self clean and it doesn't work well with the lower air pressure. The reason the regular airbrush compressors are so expensive is because they are very quiet. You can always go with a regular tank type air compressor that makes a lot of noise. The quiet ones are very nice to have in your work area. :Rich:

I use the Super Silent 20-A
