Yeah, I know, it seems like I do these things a different way every single time... well I do, I just cant be satisfied:Rich: . Anyway the ones I did today are darker, Tim Grounds told me to make em darker along with a few other people that said they wanted to see em darker. So I did it... the two in the foreground are the dark ones and the one in the back is a light one thrown in for contrast.

What do you think, is the dark a hit???? I asked my father and he told me that they are the best Ive done, anyway let me know...

IMHO, you need to get some good photo's of geese and work off of them instead of painting what you think a goose should look like. You have lost the light feather edges on the back, you can darken the feather and keep the light edge. You asked so this was JMHO.:Rich:

Thanks Flipper, I see what you mean, your prolly right about that photo thing:ST: I'll keep workin at it. I'll do one tomorrow and see what turns out. When I was going through with the dark brown I tried dulling the light edges a little, dont know why, just did, tomorrows another day and another decoy...

Keep it up Nick, it's good to see a youngster so interested in a project, with your determination you'll get it.

The custom paint job still looks a lot nicer than a standard decoy even considering Flipper's suggestion (which I agree with). Keep up the good work! What is funny is look how brown the real goose in the photo is, but I wouldn't think I would want my decoys that brown.

If you dedice you want to cull some out of your spread, just send them my way, and I will make sure the are properly disposed. :Rich:
