I've got some old decoys that I thought about just using strictly for walk-ins. The paint is in bad shape on them . What does anyone think of just painting them flat black?
Thanks,

CaptJack

I am a firm believer in the ole schoole of :
Put your decoys where the ducks want to be and the rest is what we do to keep occupied between flights and seasons.
They are just spots on the water but I still spend a bunch of time making them nice.

Thats sure middle of the road Ain't it.... lol

A couple of my buddies that i hunt with in Ark. paint all their duck decoys black. They swear by it, but I don't know if it helps or not.

I was just going through some old dekes yesterday and decided to try my hand at repainting them. They aren't that bad and for as much as I use them they could probably last another couple of years, but might as well give repainting them a try.

I think I'm just gonna buy one of those kits and repaint them that way.
