They look great... Can I ask why you paint that black line through the bird ???? I think that without that line those are sweet perfection....

Nick I really like the decoys. but I think you have way to dark of lines with the black. If you shaded the back half of the decoy feathers, you would have a darker dec without those lines.
Have a look at the other pictures of the decoys guy have done.

They are dark, but look like they are stripped.. I'm doing mine dark also, but not outlined.. just shaded.

The prior post was the most honest of them all, because we all know there are some hours poured into those decs.. but why outlineing instead of shading....

Just my honest 2cents ..

You know I always thought that a goose had a shadow line where the wing met their side. After reading your posts I went and looked at a bunch of pics and noticed that there really is no line or if their is, its very faint. So I went back into the shop and doctored them up a bit. I tried removing that black line, or at least tone it down. Here are the same two decoys....

Man oh man those look good, I like the second round of pics, after you changed them up a little bit, the first pic seemed a little too shinny for me, but that is just my .02.

but they still look awesome.
