Chroma Burnt Umber... From Wood Carvers supply. No mixing straight from the bottle. I think its great and has no shine (with flattener). Might be worth checking out, Heres a pic I did with Sierra Tan and Burnt Umber.......

I have been using burnt umber - Golden's since the start. I'm looking for good speck and Blue paint for the 10 dozen econo windsocks I ordered. Any ideas?

Nick the Chroma bird colors are nice and have a velvet matte finish with out any flattener but if you are painting a lot it is expensive in those tiny bottles. You can mix brown and black and come up with the same color with the other paint for a lot less, IMHO. I also use Chroma paint on bird carvings, but for the masses it is to expensive. :Rich:
