You da man Chad........Thank you!!!!
Anyways, the Drake was carved out of cedar and the hen out of basswood.
I have a long ways to go in my carving but am learning a ton as I go and having a blast.

Man was that worth the wait. They look impressive.
Damn can I go on your waiting list because I would like to have a pair of those, please for my collection. At the moment I have one quail made by a man here in New Zealand and a pair of pintails. These are all carved out of wood and other pottery that I have been given over the years.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I appreciate it!!
Flipper, I must enjoy pain because I'm going to start another hen this weekend. Not real happy with the paint on this one. This was the first hen I have ever done and boy did I learn alot. You might say that this bird got "gessoed" more than once.
