It has been extremely slow at the hunt club I manage here in Oregon. We have several ponds on the property.......some are refuge and some are for guided trips and some for paying duck club leases per year. Well, we found a ton of Teal using one of the ponds this past Friday and hunted Saturday morning. I myself have never seen that many GW Teal in one shoot.
5 guys...........each guy went through about 2 boxes each.........I only went through a box..........I was more excited about watching the whole thing than shooting. It was incredible. In total we saw about 300+ Teal and ended up getting 5 limits of Teal...................35 birds.....about 2 lbs of meat....he....he..... This was the most non stop excitement I have ever experienced on a hunt.....you could not keep the gun loaded............hell you didn't even have time to pick up a call...........they were coming in and that was it.
200 plus rounds + 5 bad shooters + 1 hour = 35 Teal.............but hell it was fun.:tn:
