I've been bugging you guys all summer with posts on my boat building project and thought you would enjoy a picture from this morning's hunt. My home built boat with ringenecks, buffies and a ruddy. (Where were the geese today?!)

Most of the bigger flocks I have been working are around farm ponds and golf courses in the Kannapolis/Concord area. The resident population wised up real quick after the first season in September, and I havn't seen near as many on the lakes. Because I live in the Southern James Bay zone we have a two bird limit which means that the hunt is usually over after the first flock commits.

Who was the Einstein that though up this SJB thing? There are only a handful of people around here that target geese, so we can't be hurting the population.

I guess I will be looking elsewhere when our season ends at the end of the month.
