i'm looking for a place to go goose hunting in southern il this weekend i need some help with finding one can u guys help???



and is horseshoe lake fozen???

No Horseshoe is not frozen.

If you wanting to hunt around Horeshoe you might give John Maginel at Alexander Co.Gun Club in Olive Branch Illinois a try.

If you want to hunt around Grassy lake try Greg Kline at Grassy Lake hunting club.

If you want to hunt at crab orchard you might give Glenn Lancaster at Glenns Goose hunting club a try.

I think they are all killing a few.

If you are looking to hunt around Crab Orchard, try Tom Burns' place, if there are birds down there, that's probably your best shot.

if you don't feel like spenting money you can go up to carlyle lake walk ins and if you find a open water you should be able to kill out but you just have to find them.

I'm gonna agree with CaptJack3.. i hunted right down the road from d&m last year and its a nice place, nice pits, nice people and you'll nicely kill the birds in your face!

thanks guys but i think i'm gunna wait till next year to kill some birds down south i got a good spot to go in central zone we seen anywhere from 10-15,000 geese and i got permission to hunt there on x-mas eve i'm going out tomorrow i'll get ya guys some pictures!!!
