Mallards anyone?

Are you boys in California stacking birds like cordwood? I can't find #s in Idaho and have not heard of many mallards in Alberta, Montana or Utah so I was wondering if you were loaded. I hear there are still geese in canada but I have heard mixed reports on ducks. I know they would have to dig deep through snow to find anything to eat here.

Looks like the Wash. boys are putting the hurt on em'. Up North in the Basin I'm sure is whacking em pretty good....This is the worst Mallard year I have personally seen in Cali...I'm sure others might disagree.....my 2cents

talked to my buddy from ephrata wa. froze up even the geese are gone. sat and sunday tokk him 45 minutes in both days to get his honkers. went out tues to check on birds maybe 15 in feild and roost pond froze up tighter than a drum. yak area froze even rivers freezin:Wt

Brids seem to be spread all over the place now. We are flooding up all over, and it's raining again today. I'd agree with Pharma about it not being a great mallard year. I've scraped out my share of birds, but a lot of guys are really having a slow year.
Maybe now that WA is frozen and OR is colder than normal we'll get a late push?

Washington is pretty much a duck void, there is a few pockets of birds, but the majority have gone south.

I know where there are 14 LESS greenheads than there were at this time two days ago! Lately it has been more of a self defense thing than a hunt! It is either shoot the fattys or be bombarded by them. I choose to shoot!:TT:
