Looking for reviews as far as reliability from anyone who has used an Extrema for a year or more. I love my 391 and the way the Extrema fits me, but would like to hear some feedback from guys who have shot them alot.

I have had mine for a little over a year now. No problems and I absolutely love it. Anyone who knows me knows I don't baby my equipment, and I have put it to the test. It has been under water, in sand, mud, dirt, etc. and I have had no problems. I have put many cases of shells through it, everything from 7/8 oz loads to the big 3.5s. It has had a thorough cleaning one time since I got it. Wouldn't trade it for anything right now.

I have had mine since Feb 2003. Have had no problems. Shoots a mean turkey pattern with a Rhino .660. Bought a Wad Wizard Supreme for it, I will be shooting #1s in 3.5in Dryloks. Haven't killed any geese with that combo though. Kinda curious with that one my self. I have a whole set of extra chokes for it if anybody is interested.
I had a Bsquare cantaliver mount on it for a dot sight. Well the recoil scratched the camo paint off the rid. Mounts falt. Beretta couldn't replace the rib, so Bsquare bought me a whole new barrel assembly. I use the Millet rings for it now. Beretta said it would take a couple months for the factory weaver base to come from Italy and it would cost about $80, so I went to the Millets.
Not crazy about the front sling connector but surecycle makes a cap like the remingtons for it and im thinking about buying it.
Im also not happy with the way the trigger feels. it feels like there is a sponge inside it. I can get it fixed thru Coles gunsmithing for about $85. I felt a gun that costs over $1,000 should already come with a good trigger on it. Other than that no issues or problems. Oh, an extra recoil pad would of been nice for the money I paid for it too.

Hey BBW, I've had mine for a while now. I've had a several times where it would not eject or jam up with 3.5 in. shells. Could have been crappy shells, I don't know. I've tried to duplicate shooting clays and never could. That being said, it is probably my most favorite gun to shoot. I've never had it jam with 3" or 2.75" shells.Believe me I've put a lot of shells thru this gun. I have or have had almost every make or model of waterfowling gun out there and the extrema fits me best. Alot of people don't like them, I say go pizz up a rope. Fits and feels fine to me, thats all that matters. If it fits you, I say go for it, I don't think you will regret it. Trigger is fine with mine, I know they had a lot of probs with earlier ones. Been very happy with factory chokes with this gun, I,ve heard of others not so happy. I had a 391 that I couldn't shoot worth a hill of beans, but the extrema has been just the opposite for me. I guess you could say I've been "extrema"ly happy with mine. Take care, Mike

Xtrema!
I bought mine last fall on a Friday night. Took it too the skeet club on Saturday morning. I had some Winchester target loads to shoot. It didn't eject 3 of the rounds, out of 75. The owner of the gun shop told me to give it a good cleaning and run some 3.5 through it. I went home that day and cleaned her out real good, and took her out later that day to pattern some 3.5" 1550fps. It has never missed a beat since. It has been through rain, shine and the last day this year up here (-30) ouch. NEVER missed a beat in cold weather. My old A-303 would freeze up in conditions like that, become a single shot.
Wouldn't trade it for anything. You will be very happy with the gun.
