It seems that everything I buy for fishing this year is junk.I put on new Trilene and it would break way too easily, with fish on or snags.I bought another spool and seems ok now.Bought some Fireline and the spool is all tangled up.....no way to put this on a reel.Bought an Ugly stick .When I get a decent fish on the top of the rod spins to a 90 degree angle to the bottom piece.Returned that rod for another just like it......guess what? This rod does the same thing.Bought some Spiderwire Fusion. One cast didnt feel or sound right. When I reel in with the line running through my fingers I found a (buldge?) about an inch long so I had to cut about 25ft of new line off. I bought everything at Walmart. They let me return everthing with no problem but this is getting old real quick.Am I just having some kind of bad streak going on?Are the manufactures sending their second rate stuff to Wallmart?Im not buying cheap stuff so this shouldnt be happening.Buy the way all the above stuff I bought this year are the same things I have been using in the past.I have never had any problems at all in the past.Thats why I use it.

hey MDMIKE - now dont take this the wrong way, but I wouldnt buy a bag if shit from WalMart - especially when it comes to tackle and hunting gear. I mean the stuff that you are using is OK, but it is by no means high quality gear....I know a lot of it (spiderwire/fireline etc) gets talked up on shows, but 9 timess outta 10 that is all it is....talk. perhaps you dont wanna break the bank on your fishing tackle and that is understandable, but there is much better stuff out there (check Bass Pro Shops) at real reasonable prices. BPS has a deal on their Bionic Blade Rods right now...$49.95 and they are GREAT. so check 'em out and forget about Wally World. I know they are convenient, but so is having a toilet in your house.

black foot hit the nail on the head with that one... i gotta give wal mart points for trying, but thats all they re doing ...trying. I bought a case of dove loads last dove season, and i had 7!! defected shells in that case. I can see having one or 2 defects at the most, but i mean come on 7!, and i had some problems returning a tackle box one time, so i pretty much just walk right on past the sporting goods, strait to the PS2 games...lol
