alright gadget gurus, speak out!

will extended choke tubes make your gun "feel" longer? i like a short pipe and have a 26" tube. i don't want to go any longer. i have felt the same gun in 28" and it feels a lot different the way it handles and swings. must be inertia or something physics-like because i can't understand how 2" of pipe will make a gun feel so much different. how much weight can 2" of barrel be? 4 oz.?

now to my real question.

if i get extended choke tubes (you know he kind that need no wrench!), will an extended tube make the gun feel the same, as say the next length longer barrel?

in english now, will a terror tube choke on a 26" pipe make it feel like a 28" pipe?

all opinions and experiences welcome and appreciated!

Bob - after you get done painting your coffee grinder with some Dutch Boy paint from Walmart - get a hack saw - saw off two inches and then go to Home Dept and buy some Toilet pipe and screw a two inch piece in - then take the paint and paint the pipe and you'll be all set!:OUCH: :JW:

Hi Bob! I've got an extended Briley on my 26" 870 SM. I still enjoy the benefits of the shorter barrel (which I much prefer). It doesn't handle like a longer barrel at all - still short 'n' fast.

They don't bother me in either one of the guns that I use them in.

It's not how long your tube is, it's how you use it! (Sorry, Cliff, just I couldn't stop myself.):hest: Help Me!!!!

Im with you Bob. I like a 26" barrel and I dont like the way the longer barrels swing. I find the 2" tube to make no difference.....so....... what Cliff said!
