I know this is a little off the subject but it makes me sick to think that the Americans lost to Puerto Rico 92-73. They have never lost to them before that I know of. They are supposed to be the best of the best and yet they lose, is anybody thinking what I'm thinking that maybe they get paid to much in the NBA. I'm sure somebody will argue that but just think of the money your talking about on that bench of the American Basketball Team!!, and they lost!!

Good. I hope the non-"Dream Team" loses every game they play in the Olympics. Let the college kids play!!!

Put 12 overpaid ball hogs against a team of twelve guys who can share the ball and get open shots and opps!!! Pretty embarrassing, but the international game doesn't revolve around dunks and mugging guys in the middle on defense. Good passing and outside shooting are important as well as good defense moving to the ball. Larry Brown is probably sick and Marge Shotz is probably rolling in her grave. Multi-millionaire premadonnas. Can't wait to hear the excuses. :NW: :tu:

If were going to send over a group of guys that are going to play like a bunch of selfish pu$$ies we may as well send the AND-1 streetball team over. Hopefully in '08 we send the college kids back over along with some much needed desire.

So much for American Pride. I guess it is all about the money. The American Basketball team has IMHO embarressed all who worked hard to EARN a spot on the Olympic Teams. Way to play for our Country. :CL: :NW: :LM:

Lets face it, the NBA's worldwide exposure is starting to catch up to us. I even saw Del Harris was coaching the Chinese team. It wouldn't matter if the players who begged out were there, they'd have the same results. These guys don't have the pride of playing for their country that the NBA players from other countries do. The team needs to be NBA players, college players would get hammered in todays game, but build a team rather than taking twelve super stars.

Sad state of affairs with the Men's Basketball team. I think it is unfair to the other USA Olympic Athletes to consider the men's basketball players as Olympians. The mens team is not even staying at the Olympic Village. They are staying on the Queen Mary II. Also International rules basketball are not NBA rules so our guys who are playing street ball are getting smoked by guys who hustle back on defense and who actually pass the ball to a teammate. I think it is also fair to place part of the blame on the NBA players who decided not to represent our country at the Olympics when called upon - guys like Shaq, Vince Carter, Kevin Garnett and so on... No matter how you slice it, it is a bunch of garbage!
