How many Resident Geese do you have?

When your early season hits, how many geese do you guys have around to hunt? Is there enough to make the shoot worthwhile?

While watching that duck/snow goose hunting show last night I asked my dad "Did you take those days off work Sept. 1th to the 4th?

"No, I don't think there is going to be very many geese around"

Geez, you think I give a shit, if I could just shoot one damn goose between those four days I'd be happy. That's how bad I want to go hunting!

Not to mention I will jump shoot some ponds for little duckies.

Damn Cliff, you need to talk to my dad, ok?

Well, anyway, how my resident honkers you guys get?

we have tons of residents but not alot in the air yet i keep telling myself alot will change before the season opener on the 5 but if we can't find any birds in the fields then we will hunt the river our problem is all the res birds in the city that people feed they never leave the city limits

Weve got about 1000 on our dams now, and they are driveing me crazy. THe nice part is they are patterning nicely. There are ten of us going the first morning, and with a five bird limit, I sure hope I have a great picture to post by the fourth of September.

We have to damn many geese around. But there will be far less by the 14th of Sept. The fields I have been looking at have 500 to 1000 birds in them. But on this side we get only a three bird limit. The West side of the state gets 5 a day. I wish I had a spot to hunt for a day or two over there.

Barry I would go do a bunch of chore then ask your dad to drop you off at your Grandfathers farm. Do the chores first, hehe.
