I see that Stoeger has come out with a 3" auto with the Benelli inertia action called the model 2000. Has anyone seen or shot this gun???

I had the same question, I Think it looks like a good shotgun. I was hoping to get some positive feedback from someone who has shot one before I think about getting one though.

I won one at a waterfowl U.S.A. dinner this yr. and it shoots nice. Feels like a benelli or beretta. decent gun

Yea, I saw these also. They have Benelli written all over, but the price is great. Dealer said he had sold some but didn't have any feedback yet.

It is a nice gun. My dad bought one 2 years ago after he shot my Benelli. He did not want to pay the price for one. The guy at the gun store told him it is just like mine.
It is close but the big differance is that the spring is not in the stock but around the magazine tube so there are a few more pieces when you take it apart. It kind of reminds me of a pump shotgun that was converted to a semi auto with slide bar and the spring pulls the action closed instead of you working the action.
He has not had one problem with it.
