Just wanted to say Thank You, for your advice on the Cordoba. I did not have that many turkey loads so between yesterday and this morning, an uncle(he got drafted) and myself have put four box's of heavy 3" loads thru it. Three BB's and one #2's.
The result is that it now fires 2 3/4 1oz Kent SC loads without a jam. Still working on the 7/8, but will will now go around 12 rounds before a jam with the super light stuff. Putting those few heavies thru it , has done more wonders than all the hundreds of rounds of SC loads. Anyway, I just wanted to say Thanks.

Glad it worked out for you!! A few more hevy magnums and that baby should cycle those 7/8 oz loads with NO PROBLEM!!

This gun shoots like a dream. Got to play with the Benelli Reps. at our local gun club last week for a couple hours.

I have the Sport II and I've never liked a gun as much as it, and the Cordoba shoots the same. A little lighter then the Sport II but just a smooth, points awesome and shoots right were your looking. I just like to see one avaible without a ported barrel for hunting.:uh: Porrted Barrel's and choke tube's definately not hunting buddy and dog friendly.... :in:

I will put a few more boxes of the the heavy loads thru it, just as soon as I get a chance. Benelli has the 1 1/8 disclaimer, but heck the SS will shoot 7/8 Estate SC loads. I just have high hope for this shotgun. With 1oz max in FITASC, I was getting kind of worried. Your advice really has helped.

I agree. It has a bark because of the porting. Even with hearing protection on, you can tell it has a louder bark to it. But it sure is sweet shooting.

Steve, the porting is my only reseservation.......way loud!! Otherwise the gun looks great!! 30" barrel....SWEET! Extended black chokes! It looks very nice.....but that porting ...on a hunting gun....damn man!! I had an SBE that was ported and man was that sucker LOUD!:CZ:

Thanks again for the help. I know about the disclaimer. However.... IMO a shotgun labeled as a SC model should cycle the light loads that are the norm today. To be honest, I got tired of messing with the Cordoba, and traded it plus $ for a 687 Silver Pigeon II Sporting. I am now happy. :cool:
