I won a Super X2 last Sept at our local DU dinner. The frist time I took the gun out I fired one round thru it and when I went to pull the trigger the 2nd time it did not fire because the magazine cap was gone. I have a hard time believing I didnt tighten down the cap when I assembled the gun, but ordered a new cap none the less. Today when I took the gun to shoot it in a police skeet competition, the gun would never fire. The hammer would fall, but would not strike the primer. I mean the primer wasnt dimpled at all! After putting the gun away and checking it when i got home, it appears the hammer isnt striking the firing pin at all. Any suggestions before I call a gunsmith or send it off to Winchester?:PO: :CL:

I'm not a gunsmith, but I would take it all apart clean the crap out of it, make sure you clean off all the excess oil and try shooting it again. The Super X2 is a good gun and I've seen a couple go through hell during a season and worked great. Every manufactor has guns that are finicky.

Here's a link to a "Shotgun Winchester message board". Maybe someone there may know exactly whats up..

Hope this helps.
