Sleepless Nights

Hi All, well only a couple of short sleeps till opening day. Have to admit to being slightly less enthusiastic than other years due to extreme goosing this summer, but seeing a few mallards in recent days has perked me up.

Shooting on very new dam, have fed hard, have a few birds comming in, but will be very strict on what and when I shoot. Have other options and areas to shoot so am expecting to get a few mallards this week end then hound a few gooses.

Hope everyone checks in to relay news of their openings.

Good hunting on Saturday hope the new pond comes up trumps:cool: :cool:
Still doesn;'t seem like opening day as you say we have been at the geese pretty hard this year.Going back to Te Kanuka
to keep them flying like:in: :in: this so every one gets a crack.
Hope to nail a few and yes I have arranged the bike this time.
have to pick up no2 daughter in Wellington on Sunday so will shoot over the hill to do that on the way home.
