Sorry I was in a hurry, this is my brothers first jake. We could here him gobbleing from a mile away. So we went after him. when we got close enough we shock gobbled him. he was 100 yards out and mad. we sat down and called him in and he apeared about 15 yards out. We could here him drumming and everything. I saw his big red head and thought he was huge. He took a step further and I saw a stubby little beard. I was amaised it sounded like a huge tom. he walked around for awile then Daniel said the stupidest thing a turkey hunter could say about a turkey gobbleing 15 yards out "should I shoot it" I sayed yes :NW: Then he drilled it. My dad who was on the other side of the tree from Daniel (still thinking it was a tom) was told it was a Jake. he was amaised by how deep sounding it gobble was that it was a jake. Daniel was still happy and it was a bigg jake it weighed 15lbs. ( it was bigger than my jake)

Congratulations!:pl: We had a hunt this year where we worked the bird for 4 hours and moved on him about 4 times. I was sure he was the boss of the woods, but when we finally tricked him, it was a jake. But, the details of the hunt mean more than the size of the bird. Every wild turkey is a trophy and being there with your Dad and brother is cool.
