Picked up a BB gun the other day and i just got my second little varmint. This gun at 100' knocks the hell out of the squirrels. I have about 11 acres of trees on the property and at this time i have more squirrels then i can kill. But going to give it the old college try :TT: :TT: :VC:

B' Red.
Just a word..
Them High speed BB throwers are maintence sensitive.
Spend the $$ on match grade fodder for it they are round and luber with magic stuff to prevent fouling.. and find ya a site for those that spend time punching holes in paper for entertainment for some "how to" advice.

Sure ain't the Red Riders we grew up with. ehh?

Well the squirrels are taking a beating. Got home early today so i did a little hunting in the back yard. I am now up to 7 squirrels and one bonus nutria. I have a big creek behind my house and i have a few nice bucks hanging around so i put out a few Carrots for them to eat. But the nutria decided they wanted it more then the deer. :TT:

Feeding them to the yotes Rich.

You know if you clean those bad boys, cut them up and freeze them, they could find a good home in a gumbo pot down here in New Orleans...:hest: :TT: :hest:

Thought i would give you guys an update. As of today i am 23 squirrels to the good. Rich most of them still have all that crap on them that we talked about. I could only find one today so i think I'm really putting the hurt on them. My buddy Joe lives next door to me and he told me not to worry they will be back. He has been living here for the last 5 years and is up to 163. Did i tell you i shot one of the yotes a couple weeks ago with my 24/7 45 cal Dropped that sucker with one shot about 15 to 25 yards away. I hit him with a 185 GR silvertip HP didnt even comeout the otherside. But it sure made a mess of his insides. Rich as soon as i get a few good looking ones i will clean them up and ship them to you

Nice Picture Tom. Its been a little while for me but things are slowing down here so its time to get out the pellet gun. A buddy of mine has a total of 40 over the 2007 season. The last 7 he shot where hanging on my property. We started a bet for the 2008 season the most will win a nice trophy with a total # of kills and name. Then it will be past from winner to winner

Took the new 17HMR out this afternoon to try to get a couple of squirrels for the crock pot. 3 shots and 3 greys all in less than 5 min! The accuracy of this 17 HMR is OUTSTANDING, its like you almost can't miss. What a fun caliber!

Nice Job Ken :TT: :TT: Keep up the good work and lets see a few of those after you cook them

01-13-2008, 02:25 PM
Well, I cooked them squirrels up yesterday. Threw them in the crockpot with a small can of chicken broth, a small can of cream of celery soup, some garlic, Italian spice and carrots. It was some damn good vitals!!! :TT: "Squirrel, it's whats fer dinner".:rof:

Ken the HMR is addicting....it is soooo damn accurate...like its heat seeking or something!LOL

I still haven't had a chance to shoot the Mach2......I think that baby should be as sweet to shoot.

And you got the old mouth waterin' with the rat recipe....I like to smoother them with BBQ sauce and onions place in the ole crock-pot for a few hours.....damn fine eating!
