They are an interesting critter. Gotta hand it to a guy who makes a living in the outdoors. And I love buddy's accent!

Never even heared of a nutria until this post. Thanks for posting that up, I think I am quitting my job and moving out there to start trapping.

That was great! Nice snot shot by the trapper too!
So what's the deal with those suckers? Do they ruin the bogs and marshes?
Never saw one when I was down during huricane duty. Are they all over LA?

Cool video, thanks for sharing that one!!

AB. the problem with Nutria is that they eat the roots of the marsh grass leaving the tops and the bank exposed to erosion which is a big problem down here. They've become wide spread in North America it's getting worse.:CL:
Thanks for helping out after the storms, where did they send you....:TT:

Did Nutria start in FL?
I was based ou of Lake Charles and worked all over...north, south east and west.

I thought nutrea were the original reason that cajuns invented hot sauce. I tried it once, it does not taste like chicken. They are becoming a big problem in South Texas also. Just another example of man putting something where it doesn't belong, then having to clean up his own mess.

We have them all over Oregon,Most people look at them and say Hey there goes a Beaver  This is One thing we Waterfowl hunters need to look for in the Marsh. They will attack a dog in a second and do some serious damage
Hell get close enough and they will put the hurt on you. I kill everyone i see and if you live in Washington state they also have a $5 bounty on them
