This years fur take

Well the season for fox is over and coyote will be ending in a few weeks. Not sure if I'll be able to get out anymore this year so I thought I would post a pic of this years fur take. They include 6 red fox and 1 coyote. All where taken since last Christmas. I will be making a trip to the local fur buyer next weekend. Good luck to the rest of you guys that are still hunting the hunters!

Right on! I haven't even seen a fox yet up this way.

Did you prep all those hides yourself? How are they done... are they fleshed/dried or just green?

Nice batch of fur, Ken. Kindof suprising to me that you even have seasons, rather than wide-open take. I've been "out west" too long maybe:CF: :CF: I'm guessing the seasons are set to avoid take when furs are not prime -- correct? Anyway, well done, nice looking stuff!

Man wish our yotes had hair on em. Good looking dogs hope the prices are up for you. I'm hoping next year the yotes will be worth skinning, I think we had a pretty good die off, maybe that took care of the mange problem. Hell I still have a couple feet of snow on the ground and it's been in the 40's for 3 weeks now.

Barron, yep I did them all myself. They are fleshed, streched and dried.
Joe, I've lived here all my life and theres always been a season,thats the way its always been. Don't know why, probably just because it's friggen NY. I need to get out to Montana- for good!!!
