Still covered up with snow but looking forward to the upcoming season. I'll be shooting the new savage 12. It shoots like a dream.

I haven't hunted 'hogs in years, 'cuz there's none around here anymore. It's a great way to spend a summer afternoon though... I have been thinking of heading to a better area one weekend and giving it a try, for old times sake.

We don't have many hogs, the yotes have eaten them all!

Congrats on the new gun. That 243 will definitely make short work of anything that gets in its way!

I would love to do a trip trade for me and my wife.We would LOVE to come east and shoot those dudes. Could do Colorado deer or elk or WY Prairie dogs and/or antelope. How many do you typically shoot in a day?

WE get up to a dozen on a good day.

tell me the tactic you guys use. spot and stalk?? lie in wait?? I guess I was anticipating the 500+ rounds days like we get.

Hey Mike there a small belts for hog to be found in the owen sound, mount forest and orangeville area. As I said they are belts (maybe soil conditions) you may find a ton of hogs in one area and not in the next. Crops dont seem to be a major factor in this, as we have hunted them in every thing from corn to straw fields. If you are intrested pm me and I will get you much closer to good areas.

We wait on a good field. We do lot of scouting for new spots.
Plus we have few farms we hunt ever year.
