I picked up the Primos Power Dogg electronic caller this past Thursday and thought we'd try it out today.
We didn't get anything to respond on the first two stands but on the way into the third we had 2 coyotes bust out of the fence row. I barked and got the first one to stop at 80 yds. Shot that one but couldn't catch up with the other.
We left this one in the fence row! He had the mange bad.
John is shooting a TC pro-hunter in 243 with 75 grain Hornady v-max bullets and I'm shooting a Tikka t3 lite 22-250 with federal BTHP 55 grain bullets.
We ended up seeing 5 coyotes in total but these were the only ones that presented a shot.
One dead coyote with or without mange is still a good day.

Great job and you saved that yote a horrible agonzing death. Mange is awful thing and spreads easily. Once saw one on the side of a bush road we were working on that was so bad he could barely stand...he stood there all day head hanging down while we went by in the dump trucks not 25 feet away for hours.Only hair left on him was a patch on top of his back. If I had had a rifle with me I would have put him out of his miseryYou cant imagine how gross looking he was.

I really like the Tikka!
It has a very smooth action on it and shoots very well.
I also just purchased a weatherby Vanguard varmint special in 223. It hasn't been shot yet. Still have to put a scope on it but the wife says I must finish the bathroom renovation first.

Dan...good to hear....I would like to add a Tikka to the safe in .243....maybe in the future....don't really need one right now.
I have that Weatherby rifle now.....20" bull barrel...223 caliber. Gun seems to shoot well....the trigger needs a little TLC though. I may have the Baron give me a crash course in glass bedding also.
Now get back to grouting!! LOL
